| Some Skulls of Estonians - Arthur Chervin
In this 1880 presentation to the Anthropology Society of Paris, Doctor Arthur Chervin provides detailed measurements of five skulls of Estonians. Chervin found that all the skulls possessed very pronounced frontal brows and were mesocephalic. In addition, Chervin detected a feature in one skull (a groove at the anterior opening of the nostrils) which, he points out, "is frequently found in the skulls of Negroes and the great apes."
